2. Notice at collection
We collect personal information to respond to consultation and emergency requests, run this website, and — only if you accept optional cookies — measure site traffic and advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We may “share” information for cross-context advertising only if you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Categories we collect:
- Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, and online identifiers such as IP address or cookie IDs.
- Customer records — property type, service address or location details you provide, and the content of your message.
- Commercial information — the services you ask about and whether a request came from a mailer, QR code, or ad.
- Internet / electronic activity — pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate device information, if you accept analytics cookies.
- Geolocation (general) — inferred from IP address or from a location you type into the form. We do not collect precise GPS location through this site.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through this website.
3. Information you give us
When you submit the consultation form, call, or email us, we collect the information you provide: name, email, phone, property type, and any message. Hidden campaign fields (source, mailer ID, and UTM parameters) may be stored with your request so we know which postcard, listing, or ad referred you.
4. Information collected automatically
The website uses a strictly necessary preference cookie to remember your cookie choice. If you click “Accept all,” we load Google Tag Manager, which may set analytics and advertising cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that as a request to opt out of advertising and analytics cookies.
5. How we use information
- Respond to consultation, quote, and emergency requests.
- Call or email you about the work you asked about.
- Keep an internal record of leads and how they found us.
- Operate, secure, and improve the website.
- Measure advertising and site performance if you accept optional cookies.
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
6. How we share information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers that help us run the business, including Resend (to email your request to our team) and Google (Google Sheets, used as an internal lead log). They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
- Advertising and analytics partners (Google Tag Manager / Google Ads / Google Analytics, as configured in our tag manager) only if you accept optional cookies.
- Professional advisors and authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or property.
We do not sell personal information for money. Under California law, use of advertising cookies can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time.
7. Do not sell or share my personal information
To opt out of analytics and advertising cookies (including any “sharing” for cross-context advertising), choose “Reject non-essential” in the cookie banner, or open cookie settings:
You can also use a browser GPC signal. This opt-out does not stop us from using information you type into the contact form to respond to your request.
8. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may request to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Know the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties with whom we disclose it.
- Delete personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for a job we performed).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email hello@northbaywellandpump.com or call (707) 755-1149 and tell us it is a privacy request. We will verify your identity using information we already have (such as the email or phone used on a form). You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of authorization. We will respond within the time California law requires, generally 45 days.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under CPRA.
9. Retention
Consultation requests are kept as long as needed to respond, schedule work, and maintain ordinary business records, then deleted or archived according to our record-keeping practices. Cookie preference data is stored for up to 12 months. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings if you accepted those cookies.
10. Security
We use HTTPS and limit access to lead information to people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Children
This site is for adults seeking well and pump services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies to information collected after that date.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: hello@northbaywellandpump.com or (707) 755-1149.
